Megan, founder of The Local Biz Club
About

Hi, I'm Megan.

I spent years running a shop — and I built The Local Biz Club for people doing the same. It's the room I wished existed when I started: real talk, real numbers, and owners who've already been where you are.

Running a small shop is one of the best, hardest, loneliest things you can do. The Club is the part that makes it less lonely.

I started a business to support other small businesses — and somewhere along the way it grew into a multi-million-dollar shop. I learned the unglamorous stuff the expensive way: pricing, marketing that actually works, hiring, the holiday scramble, reading a P&L without crying.

What I kept wishing for was simple: a room full of people who actually get it. Not a guru on a rooftop. Not a corporate networking event. Just other Canadian shop owners swapping what's working, what's not, and where to get good coffee on the drive home.

So I built it. The Local Biz Club is a membership, a mentorship, and a stack of courses and resources — all aimed at one thing: helping independent, product-based businesses actually run the damn place, together.

How we do things

What the Club believes.

Peer, not guru

I've been in your shoes, not advising from above. Everything here comes from years of actually running a shop — wins, mistakes, and all.

Rooting for the little guy

This is for the independent Canadian operator. The corner shop, the studio, the makers. The ones who make a town feel like a town.

No bullshit

Plain talk, real numbers, no funnels from hell. If something doesn't work, I'll tell you. If it does, you'll get the template.

Come hang out.
